The Millennial Generation
Vocabulary


Teenagers: a person in his or her teens.
Engage: to occupy the attention or efforts of (a person or persons): He engaged her in conversation.
Grow up: to be or become fully grown; attain mental or physical maturity.
Left behind: forgotten / no taken into importance
Aim: to point or direct a gun, punch, etc., toward: He aimed at the target but missed it.
Drive: a basic or instinctive need
Such as: for example
Lay down: to assert firmly; state authoritatively: to lay down rigid rules of conduct.
Uncertainty: unpredictability; indeterminacy; indefiniteness:
Self –fulfillment: the state or quality of being fulfilled; completion; realization
Harsh: ungentle and unpleasant in action or effect: harsh treatment; harsh manners.
Shift: replace it by another or others; change or exchange: to shift friends; to shift ideas.
Even though: to stand in opposition; resist
Seem: to appear to be
Rearing: raise
Parenting: the methods, techniques, etc., used or required in the rearing of children: a course in parenting.
Tackle: to undertake to handle, master, solve, etc.: to tackle a difficult problem.
Nurture: to feed and protect: to nurture one's offspring.
Skeptic: a person who maintains a doubting attitude, as toward values, plans, statements, or the character of others.
Lack of: deficiency or absence of something needed
To get along with: have a good relationship with someone.
